Ts. Dr. Aslina Baharum is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Computing and Informatics, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). She hold and has actively involved several grants as project leader in many research project such as Mobile User Interface Design based on Eye-Tracking and Users’ Mental Model Patterns (FRGS 2016), Mobile User Interface Design Based on Eye-Tracking and Users/ Mental Model Patterns (UMS Great 2016), A Framework for Developing Mobile-Augmented Reality in Higher Education (UMS Great 2017), and others project as co-researcher such as 2017 SATU Joint Research Scheme Co-PI Applications: A Mobile Application For Stress Anxiety Disorder Test Using HRV; Necessary Skills and IT Knowledge For Accounting Graduates In The Field of Accounting Information System: A Perspective From Profession In Malaysia (SGPUMS Grant); Effective Entrepreneurship among Independent Palm Oil Smallholders in Sabah, Malaysia’ (Program Newton Mobility Grant); and Livestock Project ‘Tantadan Kiulu’ (PTTK) Phase 1 (NBOS4). Also active in community services such as being invited speaker for Entrepreneurship program, Online Business Workshop (2015-current), PERHEBAT, NBOS, Sabah SME Week etc. She won several medals in research and innovation showcases such as IIDEX, MIIEX, PEREKA with in total of 34 medal s award (1 Platinum, 1 Diamond, 6 Gold, 8 Silver dan 18 Bronze) and awarded several publication awards (Best paper in 2016 & 2017), teaching awards (Best Blended Learning Course), Excellence Service award in 2015, and UMS Researchers Awards (2015 & 2016). She has co-authored 2 books in conservation and threatened species (2012) and this book received FRIM Publication award for reference book (2012), published several book of chapters (5), technical papers in conferences and peer-reviewed and indexed journals (>40) papers. She also served as editor for several journals, such as International Journal of Advanced Engineering and Management (IJOAEM), Transactions on Engineering and Applied Sciences, Art & Humanities Journal (IJAH), International Journal of Engineering, Journal of Annals of Advanced Sciences, International Journal of Latest Engineering Research and Applications (IJLERA), and scholarly contributed as committee for conferences, editorial team and manuscript reviewers and also invited to be session chair in conferences. Latest, she also invited to be jury in research and innovation exhibition, and competition such as International Invention & Innovative Competition (iniic), MediaCon ICT & Maths Carnival 2017 in UiTM, Business Idea Challenge, TUBE, and Business Model Pitch Battle. Her research interests are in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Visual Informatics, Multimedia, User Experience (UX), Mental Model, Eye-tracking, Software Engineering, Mobile Application, Information Technology, E- commerce, Entrepreneurship. She is currently an active members of ACM, IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, Senior member of IACSIT, ICSES, Fellow, Royal Institute of Information Technology, Singapore, Senior Member (UACEE), the IRED (Institute of Research Engineers and Doctors), and the Science and Information Organization (SAI). She also are Certified Professional Entrepreneurial Educator (MOHE) since Nov. 2016, and Certified Executive Entrepreneurial Leaders (MOHE), since Dec. 2017. She also appointed as Ambassador of Magic under MOHE, Leader of Technopreneur Cluster, Digital Hub@UMS and Coordinator of Entrepreneurship for Faculty of Computing and Informatics (Feb. 2015 – July 2018).
